As a vegan living in Florida, it was only a matter of time before I would get into using plant-based yarns. This has become a new obsession with me, especially since I've been crocheting and knitting most of my life and truly love yarn. The acrylic and wool yarns commonly found in yarn stores just don't fit my lifestyle anymore and I know there are many of you out there who feel the same but have nowhere to turn.

My plan is to explore as many plant fibers as I can get my hands on and share with anyone who is interested the characteristics of the various yarns out there, both good and bad, as well as where you can find them. So many are difficult to find but hopefully in this new age of awareness, the supply will soon meet the demand.
