Symbol: x or +
Height: One (1) chain stitch
Description: One of the most popular stitches; short stitch; front of stitch looks like a v & stitch back looks like a pi sign; no gaps between stitches

Abbreviations
sc = single crochet
ch = chain stitch
hk = hook
st = stitch
yo = yarn over
lp(s) = loop(s)

To do a sc into a ch, insert hk into st

Yo and pull through st
Yo and pull through 2 lps on hk
Completed single crochet!
ROW 1
If this is your 1st sc on your ch row, remember to sc in 2nd ch from hk.
Repeat across.
ROW 2 and so on...
If this is the first sc on your 2nd row, ch 1 and turn.
Then, insert hk into top of last sc on previous row.
Now, repeat steps for single crochet from beginning.
